The Inlet Valve Extension connects the spigot of an inlet valve to a mounting plate and is used where wall materials may be thicker than the standard 1/2" - 5/8" wall board. Designed to accommodate special wall finishing materials or applications where the mounting plate can not be positioned directly behind standard wall board. Multiple Inlet Valve Extensions may be used if required, each inlet extension adds a minimum ~7/8" of space between the inlet valve and mounting plate. This fitting is not glued in place and is most often grey in color. The Inlet Valve Extension is a special size (1.625 inches) that fits only inlet valve spigots and mounting plate sockets, which differ in size from the 2 inch intra-system fittings.
