Just like a muffler on an automobile, the Dual Cell Noise Filter breaks the air into many streams, changing the direction of the airflow column and blocking the exhausting motor noise in the process. The Dual Cell Noise Filter press-fits into the bottom of Sandia 6 quart and 10 quart backpack vacuums on top of the motor protection plate that keeps the filter from entering the motor's spinning armature. It is easy to remove and clean or replace.
