Hose Magic is a new way of using your central vacuum that eliminates what some consider to be the last bit of inconvenience while central cleaning; storing the hose. Until now when using a central vacuum system the hose was removed from it's storage closet and pulled into the room where you would plug it into an outlet and begin cleaning. With Hose Magic, you need only open the attractive compartment cover and push a button. The Hose Magic system will automatically expel the hose from the wall until you tell it to stop. With Hose Magic you do not need to store the cleaning hose, the Hose Magic system will store, dispense and retract the hose for you at the push of a button. You need only dispense as much hose as you need for the cleaning, which makes Hose Magic equally effective at spot cleaning as well as cleaning the entire home. Hose Magic is the only in-wall hose storage system with full electric capabilities (can be used to clean carpeting with a power brush), and the only automated hose storage system backed by Hoover.

Hose Magic installation has similar system requirements to a Direct-Connect style inlet valve, but requires a minimum rough-in opening of 30" wide x 43" high. Hose magic fits within a 2x4 interior wall where no insulation is used or can be removed. As most homes are built on 16" centers the Hose Magic installation will require 2 of these 16" wall cavities. Just as with all other inlets you will need to run both suction tubing and low-volt signal wire. You will also need 120 volt unswitched power for the retractor and to power the electric brush if used. The finished wall will have exposed a 14.5" x 10.5" cabinet with a door that opens to reveal the hose handle. For more information, please view the Hose Magic Rough-In Video.

Each Hose Magic station contains a separate hose that reaches 1500 sqft up to 1800 sqft., depending on the installation and floor plan layout. One hose magic can replace up to 3 regular CVS hose inlets which saves time and labor during installation. Several can be positioned throughout the home depending on size and floor plan. The Hose Magic features button controls on a swivel handle for all functions on a 45 foot hose with an inside hose diameter of 1.44 inches for maximum air flow.

S5715-020 Kit Information
Hose Magic is sold in kit form only by Vacdepot and includes the Hoover OEM parts S5715 Hose Magic rough-in kit and the S5715-010 Hose Magic Finish Kit. Both parts are required for a complete installation. For new installations you need only rough in the installation before dry walling. Once your in the home you install the hose and retractor before use. The S5715-020 does not include tools. Install Kit CV-HM1 is avilable for installation with 59 feet of pipe and fittings.
