The new Hoover CVS Power Units are made of heavy duty steel that has a stiff roll and all welded construction instead of rivets to make the overall unit stronger. Powered with a Lamb Electric© high performance motor, the industry leader in vacuum motors, the S5615 provides 112 CFM of airflow and 107" of sealed suction. Providing a combined 404 Air Watts, the S5610 is suited to homes up to 3000 sqft. in size with flooring of all types.

Whether installing a complete new system or replacing an old CVS power unit, the S5615 can provide all the benefits of Central Cleaning including lower sound levels in the cleaning area, perfect- 100% filtration and superior performance when compared to portable vacs; not to mention adding a Central Cleaning System to your home can increase its value.

Hoovers utilizes an all new manufacturing process for their CVS power units to ensure longevity; such as new gasket design that is compressed under the bolted down motor. The gasket is compressed to conform to the mounting surface to provide a lifelong seal. A new body gasket is also used to provide a positive seal with no leaks, even under severe circumstances. New HUSH low-noise design replaces the standard motor cover with a special noise dampening shroud. The new cover offers the same dimension power unit with considerable less noise (only 70dba). Hoover has eliminated the need for barrel clamps in the body / dirt bucket seal area giving a positive seal without leaks.

Hoover also uses an all new painting system to impart a superior thicker textured powder coat finish to protect the metal from deterioration and pin holes. Even the inside of the system gets the same treatment as the exterior with a thick powder coat to provide abrasion resistance. All HUSH models receive the new RHINO^© paint system. This new tougher paint finish is applied at the factory to all body parts of the power unit to give the final product more durable protection. The thicker coat of the RHINO paint system also helps to reduce noise from vibration and the extra thick RHINO coat gives the CVS power unit the appearance of a hammered copper finish.

Hoover CVS power units utilize a permanent self-shedding HEPA filter to keep vacuumed soil inside the collection bin. The all new HEPA membrane filter made with Dupont^TM Teflon^® fluropolymer to provide superior filtration against allergens, bacteria, viruses and dust at 99.97% at .3 micron. While 100% of vacuumed contaminants are exhausted outdoors when fitted with an exterior exhaust, ventilation indoors when necessary has never been safer with the superior protection that only a HEPA material can provide.

With the non-stick properties of Teflon^®, Hoover HUSH central vacuums maintain superior airflow performance for life. Unlike some filters which need cleaning or replacement, the new Hoover with Teflon filters are headache free, requiring no maintenance, replacement or cleaning. That's right, no dirty hands!

A utility inlet is included with the HUSH S5615 power unit along with a sweep-tee that can be installed inline for cleaning in the garage or basement, where it is convenient for you. All Hoover CVS Power Units include a one stud steel mounting bracket that is easy to hang and provides quick mount and dismount, you need only supply the correct fastener for the wall type you intend to mount to. The power panel includes a manual on/off override switch, motor reset switch and low volt wire connection with crimp on terminals. Hoover CVS Power Units have a 6 foot 3-wire power cord for connection to a standard 120V power outlet with a dedicated 20amp circuit.

With a reference orientation of the unit hanging on the wall in front of you; Exhaust is to the right hand side top of the tank, intake is lower on the main body of the tank to the right. The exhaust connection is approximately 6" from the top of the unit and 6" from the mounting wall. The intake is located approximately 24" from the top of the unit and 3.5" from the wall. It is recommended that you mount the unit with a minimum of 12 inches clearance on all 4 sides to allow for connections, efficient cooling and access to the dirt bucket for emptying. A dedicated 20 Amp grounded circuit is the recommended power supply and should be located within 5 feet of the mounting bracket.
